Yesterday I took my friend June to her weekly chemo treatment. June’s had Yorkies for more than 30 years–I’ve heard so much about how tiny Nell was (3 1/2 lbs.) and about her roles in several local stage productions, including Music Man and the Wizard of Oz.
So, to pass the time together, I brought my iPad, and June and I drew together. Here’s Little Nell. June did her bow coloring.

Here’s a drawing I did on my iPad! It’s all new to me, but I’m loving the ArtStudio app that I’m using.
He looks worried. Nothing to fear–I have an odd way of projecting myself into my artwork, and am almost never without a look of apprehension, especially evident in a heavily furrowed brow!

A highly stylized drawing of my friend, Jofrid, at Steeplejack Books. I drew this quickly with a Micron pen, and then colored it with Schmincke gouache paints. I like the fresh look that comes from not-to-studied artwork.
